Fallen BG.jpg

General Lore: Beings either corrupted or created by Azathoth. They are the rulers of the outer realms of the abyss, fighting each other constantly for control of the outer limits, though none dares to try to breach into the center of the abyss where Lu-Kthu festers.

Glhoon: God of Corruption and Decay

Description: An oceanic river of rancid sludge consisting of putrefying bile, decaying waste, and toxifying rubbish. Glhoon can possess piles of waste around the cosmos, creating his lesser avatar, a humanoid mass of the same foul liquid. Eyes and mouths constantly open and close along its slimy, viscous surface. Tufts of rubbish and refuse jut from its slimy, misshapen body only to deteriorate into mucky puddles of filth.

Glhoon

Lore: Glhoon was born from Lu-Kthu after the accumulation of decay reached a saturation point. He is the very idea of rot, decay and corruption made manifest. The creator of all foul slurping, slinking, slithering abominations that stalk swamps, sewers, refuse piles and other areas of decay and corruption. Glhoon is the Overlord of Xicotl a swampy plane interspersed with corpse bogs and lagoons filled with thick clods of industrial waste and mortal excrement. His avatar appears in filthy sewers of poorly maintained cities, toxic swamps corrupted by industrial waste and rotting trash-lands heaped with refuse from careless mortals where he absorbs more muck to grow Xicotl  and its hordes. Rather than sacrifice countless fiends to open temporary portals Glhoon mastered diabolist spells that allowed to freely create gates whenever he wished.

Mordiggian: Goddess of Fear and Despair

Description: A formless mist of darkness surrounding a dark purple crystal shard. This mist can take on any shape and when encountering mortals, inherently transforms into their worst fears, feeding off the psychic terror leeching out from their horrified souls. Not satisfied with terror and fears of mortals, Mordiggian will twist these forms into horrors that shatter a mortal’s mind with a single glance. When not terrorizing mortals, Mordiggian delights in appearing as a ludicrously seductive pale-skinned woman dressed in white, her hair and eyes always as black as the void.

Mordiggian

Lore: Another Watcher tasked with guarding the deep, Mordiggian was kidnapped during the Cthyllans first incursion into Aucturn’s seas and tortured until the point her spirit broke. Even after the essence of her tortured soul was tormented further until warped into a vampiric being that must feed off others to live. Mordiggian feeds off the psychic terror of others, growing stronger and more vital with each dreadful death she inflicts and each scar she carves into the psyches of mortals and immortals alike. Although technically not immortal, Mordiggian has absorbed so much life force that she is nearly impossible to kill, her predilection to avoid direct confrontation only makes this fiend even more dangerous.

Yaldabaoth can mimic a mortal after mere moments of observation and can mimic any known creature, animal or entity, allowing for her to change into countless shapes at will. She once was regarded as a plain looking Genii, one of the many who could be easily lost in a crowd even with that race's inherent divinity.

Yaldabaoth

Lore: Just why Yaldabaoth launched the rebellion in Heaven remains a mystery known only to that secretive devil who delights in intrigue and subterfuge. Some say she was tired of her endless work as a sophist, regrowing gardens and forests that were razed by Genii and Abyssals alike. Others say she was spited for advancement or that she was betrayed and a few that she was simply bored which might be the worst of them all. After the war Yaldabaoth turned her sights towards the mortal races, impersonating important people, inciting riots and rebellion and staging coups and assassinations as she reveled in the chaos she caused at the start of the third mythic era. Although her depredations slowed during the middle of what was later called the Era of Strife, Yaldabaoth still has enacted numerous plots and betrayals, reveling in the misery for its own sake and not for any quest for power, glory, or domination
