Description: A floating mass of glistening wet organs connected by tendrils of purple hued blood vessels. Ropes of intestines are wrapped around each fleshy organ and many sway to and fro to propel these horrors through the abyss. They lack any discernible organs, no eyes, mouths ears, or noses though this does not hinder them in the slightest.

Abilities: Bathysae can sense heat from nearly limitless depths and swarm towards the source. They are resistant to every flame except the white-golden flames of Elohim’s pure, concentrated fire. Their intestinal limbs can pierce mortal flesh and metal with little trouble, which they then use to drink all the blood from the punctured victims. As long as a singular organ remains, Bathysae can regenerate the rest of their body should they suffer such damage. Burning every organ completely to ash is the only way to ensure complete destruction.

Lore: One of Azathoth’s original creations, created as a mockery of its own original, detestable form. Most were destroyed in the Sundering and the rest who survived were hidden on Ry’leh. A few escaped out into the abyss and Azathoth has allowed them to roam free, for now at least. An aberration built only for destruction, it will go into periods of hibernation only to awaken to rampage for a short period before returning to its periodic slumber.
