Darkspawn

Description: A pale-skinned humanoid standing over just 6 ft in height with a lithe but muscular body. His hair is pitch black while his eyes are neutrally silver in color, though the iris changes in color due to his mood and temperament. He can also change the color of his eyes at will to confuse friends and foes alike. Efnysien prefers garish garments arranged in a motley of clashing styles that manages to offend even the most dowdy of mortals.

Abilities:  Efnysien controls the raw power of light and darkness combined into one volatile mix, he can create or destroy though more often his own creations turn out with unexpected abilities or appearances. Those that do turn out as desired more often than not either attack their creator, flee or both, after the errant god has forgotten them to move onto another project. When attacked Efnysien never counters the same way twice in a row but some of his favorite methods are to turn the weapons and spells against the caster, shift them to some horrid region of the cosmos, or transmute them into some wretched form. His capriciousness is only matched by his ingenuity and most avoid the errant, playful god of Madness.

Lore: Created by the merging of Light and Darkness, who together created the vessel to and mixed their opposing energies into a new form of energy. Efnysien rules over the planet of Ildathach he created after wandering the cosmos for centuries, observing all the other planets both inner and outer for inspiration. Efnysien was the one to propose the building of Dudael, an arena used to contest all the Gods creations to prevent the never-ending interplanetary wars that plagued the cosmos. He also created the short-lived race of Duine, who quickly learned by observing the other races sent to live on Dudael.

Glhoon, the Seeping Corruption

Description: Glhoon appears as a massive pile of sentient sludge and waste that can form limbs and maws at a whim. Eyes and mouths constantly open and close along its slimy, viscous surface. Tufts of rubbish and refuse jut from its slimy, misshapen body only to deteriorate into mucky puddles of filth.

Abilities: Glhoon embodies and controls the elements of both decay and filth, it can create creatures and landscapes with these horrific powers. It can also spew corrosive filth to destroy its enemies or create toxic clouds of miasma that can kill within mere seconds.

Lore: Glhoon was born from the rancid filth that surged along the extensive, sprawling network of Vhrool’s intestinal tubes. After gaining sentience it was expelled from Vhrool by Lu-kthu and set out across the cosmos to establish a world of toxic sludge and poisonous miasma. Yuggoth became the breeding ground for disease and led to the creation of two other outer gods, Kalma and Nergal. H'chtelegoth

Description:  A sprawling mass of tentacles protruding from a central fleshy core which opens up to reveal an endless maw of alternating types of teeth. There are rows of flat molars, sharpened incisors and spiked canines, and the teeth move constantly which allows H'chtelegoth to more easily break down and consume food.

Abilities: H'chtelegoth has nearly unrivaled vitality, able to regenerate into full form if even the smallest fragment of its body remains. By vomiting up the refuse of those it has devoured, H'chtelegoth can create new lifeforms as well. It can withstand extreme cold and heavy pressure but only middling heat and light.

Lore: The emissary of Azathoth’s first forces, H'chtelegoth was created to lead the hordes of Darkness in their charge against the crystal. Nearly destroyed in the Sundering, H'chtelegoth revived and was frozen in stasis before it could launch another suicidal attack against the crystal. It was awoken many years later to act as sentry for Azathoth, and patrols the outermost reaches of the abyss currently.

Description:  A monstrous hybrid of snail and mortal. Numerous tendrils jut upwards from the protected jelly-like mass, at the end of each tendril is a different mortal organ; hands, eyes, tongues, and ears waving madly about. Spores of fungus erupt from her figure constantly and shroud her figure in a cloud of writhing mycelium. Black mold and white mildew coat most of the massive, multi-layered shell in thick, insulating layers of fungus.

Abilities: Kalma can propagate spores with alarming rapidity, turning mortals and creatures into fungal monstrosities. She can fashion the spores emitted from her body into new creatures or strains of fungus. Kalma can also control mold and mildew at will either increasing its spread or twisting into living creatures.

Lore: Creator of mushrooms, toadstools, frogs, toads, snails and slugs. Kalma was born from the briny pools of muck scattered across Yuggoth. She created the numerous strains of mildew and mold that taint the inner worlds and feed off any source of the debilitating corruption. Her presence is strong in damp areas such as swamps, estuaries, and moors. She eventually set out to establish a new fungal world populated with a race of frog-like humanoids, which was later named Haguel.

Lam, the Undying Husk and King of the Forgotten

Lam

Description:  A desiccated grey corpse with shriveled, decaying flesh and withered, vestigial organs. Its eyes still glow with a dim, eerie red glow. Though sexless, Lam is clothed in a withered, tattered white robe and simple brown leather sandals. Strands of pearly white hair extend from a mottled skull, and in its arms it clasps a book with names of all those who die lost, forgotten in the wild stretches of the cosmos. No matter which body Lam inhabits all have their teeth transformed into rows of razor sharp needles.

Abilities: Lam is a disembodied spirit unable to be killed, if its body is destroyed it simply seeks out another vessel to inhabit. Its powers are over a limited aspect of decay, Lam can cause others to wither instantly, turning fresh bodies into dessicated corpses in a matter of seconds. Lam can also induce feelings of ennui so powerful that mortals will simply sit down and die from lack of sustenance. Others will listlessly sit in the paths of fatal dangers instead of trying to flee and are subsequently slain. Lam can also drain vitality from mortals, by drinking their blood it can become healthy for short periods of time before shriveling up once again.

Lore:  The most recently born amongst the darkspawn and the youngest member of their group, Lam was born from all the souls of those who died alone in, either at their bedside or out in the wilderness, with no soul to call on. All their wishes and thoughts concentrated until it spawned a living force embodying the emotions of the forgotten. It picked one among the many corpses to inhabit and now walks across the worlds of the cosmos, just as Efnysien had previously.

Description:  A sentient mass of living flesh created by Azathoth. At the core is another cancerous profusion of reproductive organs working constantly to produce more flesh and organs.

Abilities: A living cauldron of fleshy organs that propagates constantly, but lacks the intelligence to direct this power. While sentient, its massive size displaces what intelligence it can muster, so the most this god can do is simply just exist. Its existence is dangerous enough for it spawns new monsters constantly.

Lore:  The second Outer god, created from the massive pile of semi-sentient infernal flesh left after the battle between Elohim and Azathoth. Azathoth crafted the world of Vhrool, its first world which later gained sentience. Azathoth named the core of the world Lu-Kthu and left the mindless creature to its own whims. Monsters spawn from fleshy pods that stud parts of its surface creating macabre forests of flesh and fluids.

Abilities: Mordiggian can absorb any trace of light to grow stronger, it can change its shape at will, is resistant to all but the highest forms of magic. It can also smother the trace amounts of aether from mortals by pouring into their gullets, stealing their warmth from the inside out.

Lore: Mordiggian is the name for the Darkness which eventually grew into its own sentience. Fearing this unplanned deity, Azathoth imprisoned it deep into the far southern-eastern quadrant of the abyss. To this day, Azathoth still watches over this rebellious darkness along the other deities of the deep.

Nergal’s inhuman body prevents him from using infernal armaments.

Abilities: Nergal is constantly creating new diseases to inflict upon mortals. To spread his diseases he also creates a host of vectors to infect millions before they even realize their peril. Like most outer gods, Nergal cannot die for it embodies the very idea of disease and pestilence and will always revive after some time.

Abilities: Paighon can unleash blasts of destructive supernovae, destroying victims in conflagrations capable of destroying planets. Its flames constantly accumulate and condense so it must unleash blasts of flame or otherwise explode in massive inferno, wiping out anything in that quadrant with it as well.

Lore: When Elohim was shattered, shards either slowly bled their essence and became netheryte or retained their energy and became aetherium, both of which are highly sought for numerous magical applications. One such shard though, burst violently apart after tumbling through the cosmos for some time. What was unleashed was a writhing sphere of volatile blue flames. Unlike many of the outer gods who actively seek to harm mortals Paigon has no desires other than simply existing. Its light is deadly to most mortals and those that survive are transmogrified by the corrupting aura emanating from Paigon.
